BECOME A LENDER

Become A Lender - Share The Dream

Wedding Dress World is a new concept in designer wedding dress hire.

We felt there was a gap in the market for women who own designer label wedding dresses that are sat in a box in the loft gathering dust, and rather than sell them on, wanted to share the fantastic experience of wearing a designer dress with new brides, and to gain an income from doing so.
So by becoming a lender you have the prospect of making

money every time your dress is hired out, whilst still owning

it, and you will have the dress back at the end of the process

to either sell on or keep.
We are always on the look out for designer wedding dresses

that wowed the guests at a wedding, so if you own a wedding

dress that you think is very special and you think other brides

will love, then become a lender today.

We only want to hear about dresses that were originally

purchased for over £1000.
Our lenders receive 50% of the hire fee each time their dress

is hired out. We set the hire fee according to the original value of your dress. We also hire out accessories to include veils, tiara's, headpieces etc, so please include these details.
We will market your dress to brides all across the UK, and as you know weddings are  usually planned well in advance, sometimes over a year, so we could have your dress for some considerable time. We cannot guarantee that your dress will be hired, as it does depend entirely on the bride’s choice, but we will do everything we can to give every dress a chance.

Most dresses we advertise are hired out usually between 3-5 times depending on the materials, and we have an in-house seamstress on hand for any re-beading or repairs. All of our dresses are stored at our secure warehouse which is not open to the public.

To become a lender your dress must be in good condition and has been professionally dry cleaned. We do offer a professional dry cleaning service at a charge of £100. If your dress needs a repair, we can offer this service, and will quote you for seamstress charges.

All of our brides on hiring a dress or item will sign our terms and conditions, which is a legally binding contract and states that every care must be taken with the dress during the hire period. By becoming a lender you must be aware that although we will take every precaution to take care with your dress and with our clients, there is a risk that your dress could be damaged.

We hope we never experience a situation where a dress is irreparably damaged, but if this were to happen, your dress would be covered by our insurance, and either replaced like-for-like or you would be offered financial compensation to it’s second hand value at the time of the hire period. We would gauge this value by collating online sales of identical/similar dresses.

By submitting your dress to us does not commit you to become a lender - we will simply get back to you with detailed information based on your specific dress.
